Title: cpu at 25%
Post by: antipro on April 13, 2017, 12:00:51 AM
hi,

I'm encoding an mp4(x264)video recorded with amd crimson relive, but I see the cpu max load is 25%.
what can I do to increase the cpu load?

ok thanks, I've already tried that, it has no effects.
anyway I want to be more precise:
If I don't use any filter I got 100% cpu load, while if I use this filter sequence:

in order to increase the video speed, I have the cpu load from 25% to 30%.

CPU has nothing to with GPU.
Depending your settings in Preferences for [HW Accel]
Some tasks are performed by the GPU. If this is the case: the load on CPU is lowered.
Crimson ReLive Edition is AMD's advanced graphics software, suppose this for Graphics Processing Unit

Are you reading over the network or similar ?

Jan, thx but I can't understand your message.
please do not consider I was talkin about AMD Relive, I was only specifying the source of the file.

mean, not sure sorry.. are you asking me if the source file is in the local avidemux pc or somewhere else on the network? i'm doing it locally.

Just a thought - maybe the filters reduce the encoding to a single thread.
