Hi, I have been using avidemux 2.7 with all the beta versions of High Sierra without a glitch, today I installed the beta 5 and Avidemux stopped working, when a try to edit a file it open the file but that's all, non of the controls works.
Well, I found out that the culprit is the APFS formatted drive, because the same file on a HFS formatted drive works ok.
that's weird, it should not matter
Please launch Avidemux2.7 from the terminal (it is in the Contents/MacOS subfolder of the app bundle whenever you installed it) redirecting console output to a text file, reproduce the problem, quit Avidemux, compress admlog.txt if necessary and attach it to your reply.
/Applications/Avidemux_2.7.0.app/Contents/MacOS/Avidemux2.7 | tee ~/admlog.txt
(Not quite sure about the app folder name)
Hi eumagga0x2a, I don't know if I did the right thing, followed your instructions but couldn't find the file admlog.txt, I did copy the output file file from the Terminal.
Is the problem still relevant? "none of the controls work" = seeking to the next keyframe fails because decoding fails.
