Hi, I just started to work with avidemux and I'm loving the results. It beats normal converters by a mile, but I have one problem. I want to convert a uncompressed video file that is 100% ok by itself, but when I run it through avidemux, scenes that have a lot of motion are smooth, but scenes where there is a motionless frame it's choppy (this part of a movie has a fade effect, and the fade itself is choppy).

How can I fix that?

What is the used avidemux version, what encoder is used to what codec, where do you view the end result? To much variables to pinpoint what the problem could be. Can you perhaps explain step by step what you're doing? Uncompressed avi is not telling a lot about it to many possibilities here to.
Perhaps with more info another forum member may point you in some direction that you could take ...?
