2.5.6 batch crash with truncated .js file

Dear all,

I attempt to run 2.5.6 under Win7 (Win7 native, not XP Mode): Video 'MPEG-4 AVC', Audio 'AAC (Faac)', Format 'MP4'.

After I open an MPEG2 file and define my filters, if I click Save As, the Encoding window opens.

If I Add to Joblist, 2.5.6 abruptly terminates with no error message and disappears. When I restart 2.5.6, it asks to reload crash file.

When I View Joblist, the job I had added is there. If I attempt to it as Run Selected Job, a small window Opening MPEG File opens for a fraction of a second, and the job in the Joblist says Failed. When I open the .js file in a raw text editor, it is truncated after the line //** Video Codec conf **.

Seems 2.5.6 is missing video codec data to build the .js file. I looked over the Wiki and did not find any Prerequisite section, so I installed 2.5.6_win32.exe as-is. What did I do wrong?

Thank you,
