It would be nice that the number of seconds to move forward or backward using CTRL-UP or CTRL-DOWN be configurable.  Current number of seconds is set to 60 but I would make it 30 to make it easier to cut commercials from a show.

You would be far better off using UP and DOWN keys to navigate to keyframes, followed by seek in 1s/2s/4s steps using Shift+Left/Right, Ctrl+Left/Right and Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right keyboard shortcuts.

Thanks for the reply.  I didn't know about the 1s/2s/4s.  I'm using CTRL-UP to navigate quickly and then use UP or DOWN to navigate the keyframes.  Is 1s/2s/4s is navigating through keyframes?

Always use keyframe based navigation (simply drag the slider) to navigate quickly. Time based navigation (1s/2s/4s/60s) is time exact and thus computationally expensive and very time consuming.

edit: Don't forget that you can jump straight to a time using Ctrl+T.
