How Do I Cut Videos With Add - In Audio?
« on: April 28, 2018, 07:44:34 AM »
I have a video and a audio track added in, and I wanted to trim out a few parts here and there in the video, but the trims didn't cut the audio along with it.
Is this a bug? It works fine on videos that have audio in them.

No not a bug.

Avidemux is a simple tool for simple video processing tasks. The keyword here is simple: it does not offer tools like a timeline, multitrack editing, you cannot freely move or splice audio and video clips from various sources. However, Avidemux allows you to do elementary things in a very straightforward way.

Workflow:
After you added audio track: save the video with [Copy] for both Video and Audio Output.
Then close the video, and load the newly saved video and edit from there.

If the audio stream is precisely seakable, I guess it might be possible to handle it similar to an internal track. I didn't look into it yet.
