Hi all,

the last update in Fedora 16 installed new avidemux 2.6.1, and now two features are missing (and they are essentially for me!): The Video-Codec 'DV' and the video-filter 'Stabilize'. How can I bring them back?

Thanks and regards

Check if installing libdv4 in your OS solves DV codec issues?

you mean reading or writing ?
Reading should be ok already

Hi mean + Jan Gruuthuse,

thanks for the replies!

@Jan Gruuthuse: libdv is installed (/usr/lib/libdv.so.4.0.3)

@mean: Yes, writing is the problem

I now installed the old version 2.5.5 again as a workaround, this works for me.

Thanks and regards

Grobe

Avidemux 2.6.4 r8837 for windows.

The "Stabilize" filter mentioned above is not present in the filter menu.

Also, I've tested version 2.5.6 on W7 without finding the "Stabilize" filter.

Hi mean,

ok, some time has passed ... ;-)

This week I installed a new system (FC19/64) and was remembered to this problem. The version is now 2.6.4, libdv is installed, but there seems to be still no DV support and no stabilize filter.

Do you have maybe some good news for me?

Best regards

Hi mean,

thanks for the tip. I downloaded, compiled, installed (everything from /install). No error was reported during compilation.
But: No DV is present in 'Video Output'
And: No filter can be loaded. During startup many messages appear saying:
...
[ADM_vf_plugin] Unable to load libADM_vf_fadeToBlack.so
[DynaLoader] Cannot find function neededFeatures
[ADM_vf_plugin] Unable to load libADM_vf_lumaOnly.so
[DynaLoader] Cannot find function neededFeatures
...
Any further tips?

Me again,

I got DV working! The problem was that the folder 'ADM_plugins6' was not copied due to an existing one. Now DV is there!

Many thanks!!!

Now, only the 'stabilize' function is missing. Can I get that working?

Best regards
