No subtitler option in avidemux video filter manager

Hi there!

I have recently discovered Avidemux (2.5.4 for OSx) and what an excellent editor it is! Following some YouTube video instructions, I have tried adding .srt subs to avi file, and got stuck at the opening of  video filters manager: under Subtitles, I get only three options: VOB SUB, DVD SUB & ASS! The SUBTITLER option, which is clearly seen on instructional videos, is nowhere to be found! Please help and thanks in advance!

Vob sub or DVD SUB & ASS are subtitler options. It all depends on the used version in that demo?
upgrade to newer version of avidemux: 2.5.5 or 2.5.6: http://www.avidemux.org/smf/index.php?topic=9960.0
