Auto system shutdown doesn't work in Windows 7

I just downloaded and installed Avidemux 2.6.12, to replace "old" version 2.5.6. which I've been using for some time.

However, I found out that Avidemux ignores the selection of the field "Shutdown system when finished". It worked perfectly, in version 2.5.6.

My PC has Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits. I'm the Administrator. What is wrong? 

Another matter (albeit less important):

Why is it impossible to minimize Avidemux main window once it started processing (e.g. encoding a vídeo)?

The status window monopolizes focus and doesn't have a "minimize" button...

Can somebody help?
