Do I have to install something or is it still not suported?

Are you on Linux or windows?

Also some main ADM modules are being updated at the moment - so could be its not functioning at the moment.
If so, try an older version of ADM.

I'm on Windows 10 64bit - using the latest avidemux nightly.

But I've  found a solution: I converted the *.ts file with mkvtoolnix to *.mkv and after that, avidemux accepts the file

If you can provide a short clip of your HEVC in TS file, it would help
At the moment the TS demuxer cannot deal with HEVC
