Maybe make volume slider horizontal

I see the volume slider is vertical and the mute button is on top of it.
Maybe it would be better to make the volume slider horizontal and have the mute button on the left like in many other software like media players.
That way it does not take up so might hight and the user can have more space for the video area which is properly the thing the user is most interested in looking at.
When its horizontal i guess you have to show some how what side the volume is lower and higher.

Also there seems to be a problem with overlapping areas like the top 2 pixels of the mute button seem to be cut off and the left of the volume slider and part of the content from the selection tool bar next to it overlaps into the volume toolbar.

Using Avidemux 2.6.8 on Debian Jessie.
