Hi everybody,
i'm having troubles with the 2.7 version, i edited 50/60 little videos to create one big video (it lasts only 5 minutes, so it's not that big), but i started to have problems when i tried to save the finished version. I've tried many different settings for the video/audio output section (Mpeg4 ASP (xvid4), Mp3 (lame)) and the output container (Mkv muxer, Avi muxer and Mp4 muxer) but the only result i had, was a saved file whit just one photo frame and after that, a black screen till the end of the video, but if i open the saved file into the program, i can see it correctly. This is the first time i use this program, so i'm sure i'm doing something wrong, mostly because i'm not an expert. I've spent a lot of time editing this video, so i would be very sad if i couldn't save it, to show it to my family, so please help me  :(
PS. Sorry for my bad english, but it's not my motherlanguage  :-[

First of all, save the current state of editing as a project (File --> Project Script --> Save As Project).

It is hard to say anything without source videos. For better guessing, please reproduce the issue, then compress and attach admlog.txt, accessible via the "Help" menu within Avidemux.

You're right, the photo shows the settings i choose and than there is the admlog.txt you asked for.

The log doesn't reflect editing steps. Apart from

[Avi] dwTotalFrames: :0

which I'd have to check with the source, there is nothing in the log which would indicate a problem.

BTW, please avoid AVI as container whenever possible.

I've also tried the mkv container, but nothing has changed....so there's nothing i can do?

so there's nothing i can do?

You should post admlog.txt resulting from appending and editing the source videos followed by saving. With this info provided, we'll see whether anything can be done without access to samples.

When I use Avidemux to join video clips, I find it is better to first load and save each clip using Avidemux before trying to join them. This might be a bit tedious with 50 or 60 clips but it seems to get the start and end of each clip into a state that Avidemux will join successfully. You need only use copy mode in all cases and the same muxer as the original clips, assuming they are all the same format (which they need to be).
