unable to trim a video

I am running Appimage version 2.7.4 on ubuntu 16.04

I simply want to trim a VOB sing copy audio and copy video and save in AVI container

WHen I trim 4 seconds of black and save , I get the output file.

Output file then starts in (avidemux generated) black for 4 seconds with the audio startiing , then after the 4 seconds of black and false start audio the real audio and video start .

Seems like a bug?
