Preserve video location on pause?

Hi,

Sorry for the potentially dumb question, I'm new to avidemux! In editing I have noticed that whenever I press pause, the video goes back to its start location, rather than maintaining it's current position. I've tried looking for keybinds that might solve this and read through preferences, but I don't think I was able to find a solution.

The last playback position is always preserved unless filtered output is enabled in which case seeking to the start of playback is the expected behaviour.
