Version 2.8.1 does not open any files

Good morning,
I just installed version 2.8.1 but when I try to load any type of file, in any format it says: "cannot open file". I have not installed any codecs or other plugins. Can anyone help me?

Try with the latest 2.8.2 version. 2.8.1 is very old, although it should allow you to open video files.
