The Win64 installer currently hosted on FossHub is blocked by my IT department because it is bundled with "MaxSecure" malware:

Win64/VC++ 2.8.1 Install (64 bits), FossHub,
SHA256: dd962bc788d7d955b04e163e7e1a6620b573adc379bf2ea2a2c25585782b4dca

Is there any other place where I can download Avidemux without the bundled "MaxSecure" malware?

MaxSecure like Cynet is one of many antivirus vendors integrated by VirusTotal service. All antivirus engines are prone to false positives. Meanwhile, the false positive for ADM_core6.dll by Cynet seems to have been corrected: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/d6c4d78667f0185ddd2d315ce3c76967339c76bfb9e8476e29ba2862292a705c?nocache=1

The false positive by MaxSecure for fontconfig.dll seems to persist: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/c085b9a1a80e0ab66582a8952390ab3ccff0b8f5cfa196cf01da0ed16129c21e?nocache=1

Everything following "because" is false and completely misinterprets the content of the screenshot.

Yes, the latest available 2.8.2 nightly build is far less buggy than the last release. If cross-compiling from source is out of question, resorting to official nightlies is the second best option (no published checksums or digital signatures, unfortunately).
