Title: Subtitle support in ts-Files
Post by: bernd_b on July 13, 2013, 06:31:40 PM
I just wanted  to raise and old question: http://www.avidemux.org/smf/index.php/topic,10661.0.html (http://www.avidemux.org/smf/index.php/topic,10661.0.html) again:

Any chance we see subtitle support in avidemux, meaning preserving dvbsub or teletext-sutbtitle streams (without the need to hardcode them into the video)?

It's possible but difficult to do as the video filter chain is completly isolated from the file input

Attention! Just a humble user question !Attention

Wouldn't this be a task of the muxer anyway? The video filter chain shouldn't do anything as far as a PC mouse mover like me can see ?! Or would synchronisation be lost without it?

I'd really like subtitles support too, even if I'm more interested in .srt or .ass inside mkv containers.
Also chapters wouldn't be bad..   :\
