Title: Modify + Copy video output configuration profiles? Include audio part?
Post by: pstein on March 17, 2016, 07:00:17 AM
When I set e.g. Mpeg4 AVC (x264) as video output codec and click on "Configure" button for "Video Output" then I can define the configuration for this codec and save it as an individual profile with the name e.g. "myprofile123".

As far as I can see this profile is stored in folder

C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Roaming\avidemux\pluginSettings\x264\3\

What si the difference to profiles

C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Roaming\avidemux\pluginSettings\x264\1\
adn
C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Roaming\avidemux\pluginSettings\x264\2\

?

Can I simply copy ALL profile from all subdirectories together into

C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Roaming\avidemux\pluginSettings\x264
?

Assume I want to use exactly this profile in another Avidemux installation on my notebook.

Can I simply copy the *.json file?

Can I edit the *.json file if I want to change settings or must I always use the Config dialog to change them?

I would like to include the audio part into it as well.

Is there a video PLUS audio configuration profile possible?

Peter

Can't you check the creation dates? On Linux I have only /3/?
compare 2 files with notepad.
Most likely this will work copying user settings from one computer to another.

Some audio settings can be loaded after you loaded a video: 2.6 audio track switching in job.py (http://avidemux.org/smif/index.php/topic,10499.0.html)

Isn't Jason slowly being deprecated in ADM by Tinypy?

The number is plugin revision
So if you have plugin v3, it will look in the /3/ folder
