Hallo,

ich habe ein Video, bei dem Tonspur zum Film vorläuft. Nun möchte ich sie zum Film mit avidemux synchronisieren. Ich habe gelesen, dass man das über die Einstellung in audio über Filter wohl machen kann, aber das ist bei mir ausgegraut d.h. inaktiv. Wie kann ich die Tonspur zum Film synchronisieren?

The Media player first reads the "Rotate video" flag in the container (MP4 in this case). But Avidemux always ignores this flag because it is an editor, not a pleer.

No, if you save your video with flag = "Do not rotate" as in the attached image, Avidemux will open it non-rotated.

Please provide a sample preferably via WeTransfer (no email address required despite the site trying to suggest otherwise), Mega, Dropbox or Google Drive.

It's just an information about that the decoding can't keep up during playing the video in Avidemux, so you can experience lag between video and audio.
It does not affect editing.

I've tried a few different nightly releases of Avidemux, currently running 2.8.2 (240316) (Win_x64.

When I try to play an MP4 clip in Avidemux I keep seeing a Warning message in the bottom left of the Avidemux window You cannot view this attachment.. As the clip plays in Avidemux the milliseconds ramp up.

Converting and editing the clip, removing sections of uninteresting portions of the clip seems to work okay. But I'm worried I'll forget to check one day and the proverbial will hit the fan. It may just be a setting I've got wrong. The playback of the clip in Avidemux runs quite choppy so I wonder if you could suggest what may be happening. I'd rather not go back to some distinctly earlier version if I can avoid it.

I have several MOV videos captured by iPhone 14 Pro Max, SW: 17.3.1 which have AVC video and AAC LC audio.
When I open such a video in Avidemux 2.8.2, it says: No Audio in the File\Information field but when I open the same video in Avidemux 2.8.1.22260, the audio is correctly recognised.

Hi! Instead of the Margin Top and Margin Bottom options (btw, both existing Margin options only take 2-digit values and are worthless if you want to use them to position text in a 16:9 aspect ratio), I think it would be better to use one field that can position subtitles by given pixels (or percentage) from the top. Why? Currently, if you add black borders to a video and set the video to 1920px resolution, the added subtitles will be mismatched and will not be able to be adjusted accordingly. Example in the attached screenshots:

Bitte zunächst mit einem der letzten verfügbaren Nightly Builds für 64-bit Windows (unter Linux in MXE oder unter Windows mit Microsoft Visual Studio kompiliert) von Avidemux 2.8.2 testen. Wenn das ursprüngliche Video ein MPEG-TS (MPEG transport stream) ist, dann bitte unbedingt vorher die dazugehörige idx2-Indexdatei löschen.

Falls der Export wieder auf die gleiche Weise vorzeitig abbricht, dann bitte Avidemux beenden, die Schritte, um das Problem zu reproduzieren, wiederholen, Avidemux beenden und die Datei admlog.txt aus dem Ordner %localappdata%\avidemzux\ ggf. ZIP-komprimiert an die Antwort anhängen, dabei Avidemux nicht eher wieder starten als admlog.txt umbenannt oder an einen anderen Ort kopiert oder verschoben wurde, sonst wird diese Log-Datei überschrieben.

Die in admlog.txt enthaltenen Pfade dürfen einheitlich anonymisiert (gleiche Pfade durch einen und denselben, unterschiedliche Pfade durch unterschiedliche Platzhalter ersetzt) werden.

Die wahrscheinliche Ursache für das Problem ist eine von Avidemux falsch gewählte Zeitbasis für den Videostream, so zum Beispiel taktet VLC die damit neu kodierten Videos oft ohne Not extrem hoch (1 MHz, Zeitbasis 1/1000000), und Avidemux versucht, diese Zeitbasis durch eine "verträglichere" Zeitbasis mit Auflösung 1/90000 (die MPEG-Zeiteinheit) zu ersetzen, was heutzutage mehr Probleme schafft als löst. Ob es auf diesen Fall zutrifft, wird hoffentlich das Log zeigen.
