Title: Crashing while indexing some mkv files !!
Post by: salam2009 on February 01, 2016, 09:07:15 AM
Hello!
I've attached the crash log below. I have v2.6.11 beta 1 x64 installed and tried old versions as well as nightly builds but no go!
The crash occurs as soon as it starts indexing/opening some mkv files.
All I can think of is that I'm missing a needed component that avidemux relies on in my Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate x64!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot!
Cheers,
Salaam

If you mean "avidemux_2.6.11_r160129_win64.exe" then I tried it.

Remuxing first with mkvtoolnix almost always solved my similar problems.

The newer versions didn't fix it for me!

New versions can't fix everything. Follow this sound advice:

If you have specific issue with mkv from one source. You could upload a sample 10 to 60 seconds in duration. Time permitting, developers might have a look at that kind of mkv.

ps:- Use a free dropbox account, mega or similar webservice (free public access, without registration to download your uploaded video) thank you.
