Title: Issues demuxing MPEG2 DVR recording [SOLVED]
Post by: trideceth12 on February 09, 2013, 11:16:21 AM
Avidemux doesen't seem to be able to open files recorded on my DVR. I just get a blur.

The files play fine on the DVR, and I managed to demux the video using ProjectX - but the output audio from ProjectX is constantly stuttering.

Is there some settings I can adjust to get the audio reading correctly in avidemux, or can someone recommend an alternate tool?

Example File: 6.6MB

Is this original recording by your DVR or projectX handled?

Use avidemux 2.5.6(-1) found here http://avidemux.razorbyte.com.au/. Opens here and could make this mkv from your source video: http://rapidshare.com/files/3615837026/256cctv14.mkv. The blurring is present in original video (interlacing?)

Okay, I thought it was odd that you had no problems with it - so I checked and I didn't have the "restricted-extras" package installed.

Looks like I just didn't have the right codecs.

Sorry for the waste of time.
