Title: Video language
Post by: Blues on February 03, 2022, 10:46:03 PM
This is a minor annoyance. When the video language is not English after muxing with Avidemux it is marked English. The original language tag is lost. Avidemux-2.7.8.
BTW, how about renaming this subforum to current or latest. The main version is no longer 2.6, methinks?

= an unsupported old release. Please update to the latest nightly (or in worst case to the last release).

Thank you for version information. Gentoo official ebuild is still not updated. Anyhow, the problem with video language is still there with 2.8.0. Are you saying it has been changed in "live" git version?

This depends on the particular demuxer. For mp4, the support was added on April 28, 2021 (https://github.com/mean00/avidemux2/commit/eaf3f211cf1554313a8d9d8c0e1e8e2cfafbed5c), thus missing in 2.7.8 but present in 2.8.0. Now please provide information about the file type of the source videos and the demuxer in Avidemux you select.

You definitely should update to the latest git or the latest support_2.8.0 for unrelated bug fixes.
