Hi, mean!
First of all, sorry for my English!I hope you understand me!
Second, i have to say i know this issue probably only happens to me, because i use ââ,¬Å¾OPTIMUSââ,¬Å" laptop and have any restrictions using Nvidia. But by other side, Vdpau-deinterlace works. So the problem above not happens because of my specifications, you can check.
When i select Vdpau-resizer, then type preview, got this:

Ok.Seems Optimus system is a big part of the reason this happening. Thanks!
Optimus support comes to the NVIDIA Linux driver (http://www.h-online.com/open/news/item/Optimus-support-comes-to-the-NVIDIA-Linux-driver-1838415.html)
Bumblebee, a project aiming to support NVIDIA Optimus technology under Linux. (http://bumblebee-project.org/)
perhaps this 2 above are of some help to you.
I did miss 1st time the meaning OPTIMUS, and confused it with Optimus Prime Laptop.

And if you are running RHEL/CentOS/Scientific Linux, bumblebee is available from ELRepo (http://elrepo.org/tiki/bumblebee).
Hi again, mean!
I found something odd about this, but which probably can help you to find a reason that cause this issue.
If i add ASS_filter before VDPAU_Resize, the problem disappeared.Preview don't resize image, but don't crashing (see picture (http://s005.radikal.ru/i210/1305/a1/a93e064f0855.png)). Re-encoding also works. But if i swap filters positions (move ASS under VDPAU), the problem persists. :o
