Hi, I've been using Avidemux for a long time encoding videos in 8bits :), but, since now almost everything is in 10 bits, now i have to encode hi10p and i canÃ,´t, I open a file hi10p and when i try to save it, i get this error:
i don't know if i'm doing something wrong, if i need decoders or encoders, or maybe Avidemux can't encode 10 bits :-\
btw, in video configure i have "Average Bitrate 2-pass" with 8000 kbit/s
I hope someone knows what is wrong :P
Thanks.
H.264/MPEG-4 AVC High 10 Profile (Hi10P) is currently not supported. A must I hear when working anime. Don't know if this is in the pipeline.
Oh, i see...
Thanks anyway
4 years later: any changes?
Partial in h265, still work in progress, I believe.

This is hw accelerated
decoder-only and Windows-only part for h265.
For x264 10 bit encoding support, Avidemux must be built against 10 bit libx264 library (AFAIK, I may be easily very wrong here).
3 years later - no change. Why, why do i even have the option to select high10 profile, or even high444 profile, when everything comes out as 8-bit ???
It's like MeGUI is the only thing in the world that currently encodes in high10, unless you lower yourself to get messy with the command line stuff.
