Title: [v2.6.4] Problem of Audio conversion (MP2)
Post by: BetaBoy on August 10, 2013, 04:31:49 AM
Hi all,

Here is my bug reporting.
I am doing conversion from my capture card, which output audio as mp2 format. But when I try to convert it to other formats or even PCM, it will have dropout at the first few seconds (and probably more). If I do the same in VirtualDub, there is no such problem. The video is ok.

Here is my sample link:

File before conversion (V:x264, A:MP2)
http://ul.to/1wtymjh5

File after conversion (V:x264, A:PCM)
http://ul.to/zi2nseau
there is dropout during the first 2-3 seconds.

and I want to thanks the devs for such a handy program! :)

The thing that might be confusing avidemux is that the audio is tagged as dual mono
looking into it

The original file has weird timestamps on audio, that confuses avidemux
Exporting/reimporting audio to get rid of these timestamps fixes the problem

Do you know with which tool the original file has been created ?

Hi, this file was generated from the video capture card, the card is Compro VideoMate E800, and the capture program is ComproDTV 4, hope this helps. :)
