Avidemux can't render Nexa Bold font outline. I post my problem here (https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/avidemux/+question/244013 (https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/avidemux/+question/244013)) and here (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/avidemux/+bug/1281304 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/avidemux/+bug/1281304)). Avidemux refuses to draw correctly outlines with subtitles in SSA/ASS format. Mostly video players do that well.
1) Subtitles (in ssa format) look good on the player > http://i1343.photobucket.com/albums/o797/vania182004/Smplayer_zps8cb5302e.png
2) How Avidemux embed subtitles on the video (the subs in white are in srt format, and the subs in yellow in ssa) > http://i1343.photobucket.com/albums/o797/vania182004/avidemux_zps896750af.png
3) A better detail of that > http://i1343.photobucket.com/albums/o797/vania182004/avidemuxsubs_zps7b7acd81.jpg.
Tech info:
Avidemux installed version: 1:2.5.4-1~getdeb2
libass4 version: 0.9.9-0ubuntu1
SSA subtitle: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-U6KBXCzFaLaExFM21ES2Rkbmc/edit?usp=sharing
Font: http://fontfabric.com/downfont/nexa.zip
OS version: Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx, kernel 2.6.38-16-generic
PD: the same applies to Avidemux 1:2.5.6-1~getdeb2 and libass4 0.10.0-3 in Ubuntu 12.04.
Might work better with 2.6.x
I will try to test Avidemux 2.6, then... and I will comment the results here.
