Title: Help: Output files very small / unreadable
Post by: mrcarson on January 17, 2016, 11:28:36 PM
Hi, I have viewed a couple tutorials and am trying to output a cropped video, but having problems.

The preview shows fine, but no matter *what* combination of Video Output and/or Output Format I choose, the output file is always very small (33kB to 258kB, compared to the original video is 22MB) and unreadable by either Quicktime or VLC.

Help?

I'm using the latest binary provided on the main Avidemux site and OS X 10.10.5, and my original file is a QuickTime movie.

PS - The only way I've been able to get a reasonably-sized file is to turn off the cropping and select "Copy" for everything. But even then the resulting AVI file is unreadable.

And if you use something else, like mkv as output format ?
