HI
Avidemux 2.5.6
got a crash converting mpeg2 to mpeg-4 with AAC audioin mkv container
Looks like a crash in
libavcodec/get_bits.h:285
converting into an mp4 container works
attaching the backtrace, as it exceeds the maximum allowed post length
Does it also happen with 2.6 ?
Same problem here. Using 2.5.6 on Fedora 17. Tried to convert into MPEG4 AVC and AAC audio (MP3/lame works, though)
Well, could you tell me where I can get 2.6? The latest stable announced on avidemux.org is 2.5.6
windows here: http://avidemux.razorbyte.com.au/
windows and other OS: http://avidemux.org/nightly/
Thanks.
2.6 wont let me convert the audio stream to mp3, so there is no way to try to reproduce.
mkv container, H.263 video and audio copy do work, tough.

Modus operandi did change a little in 2.6 opposed to 2.5 operation. It even works for Multi Track:
Load video
In avidemux 2.6 main menu: Audio: Select Track: Mark track(s) [v] you want keep/use.
For each marked track you can either keep original copy: leave selector in [
copy]
for track you want to convert change [
copy] to [
MP3 (lame)]
now you can change in [
Configure] the Lame configuration if wanted.
when done press OK for open window, and save the video as usual, you should now find the video with mp3 track(s)
see attached Audio Tracks Configuration below:
