Title: It doesn't like my video at all
Post by: DÅ‚ugosz on October 24, 2013, 04:04:20 AM
I tried to extract a portion of a video that I previously encoded using Avidemux.
Upon loading, I cannot seek to the desired frame.  I get errors stating that it couldn't be done.
I tried the latest 32-bit Windows build on a clean virtual machine, and got the same issue.  My original attempt was with 2.6.1 x64 Windows.

You can grab the file in question, TCU.mkv, from my DumpTruck (https://truck.it/p/FbQ-CWEkSZ) folder.

Could someone take a look and see what's going on?

BUMP

Please help!  What about the file does AVIDemux not like?  Is it a bug?  Did I do something in the encode options that causes this?

It looks like decoding the headers failed

So, mean, I suppose that's a bug, since (1) AVIDemux wrote the file in the first place, (2) ffmpeg was able to do the cuts I wanted, (3) VLC had no trouble seeking, (4) YouTube accepted the file without complaint.

So what do I do?  Report it?  But that's awkward when the test data is so large.

Thanks,
