Windows 8.1
Avidemux 2.6.1, 64 bit
Mpg videos load fine but if I try to load a flv video the program immediately crashes.
The crash log saved gives the following information:
TinyPy:Exception
Exception :_tp_dict_get) KeyError: nud
BackTrack:
FiIe:py2bc.py, line 51
FiIe:py2bc.py, line 10
FiIe:parse.py, line 424
FiIe:parse.py, line 414
FiIe:parse.py, line 199

File:parse.py, line 63
Should I try a 32 bit version of Avidemux or what?
Should try the latest version!
Sorry,
It crashed in versions 2.6.7 as well as older 2.6.1 version.
Would need a sample file
I have the same issue with a TS file (video H.264 from digital TV). The file does not load in VLC.
I have tried a few programs, and one of them (can't remember which one) says that there is an invalid packet in the flux.
I have found at least one video editor that can handle the file (but it is less friendly than AVI demux, and does keep the TS format, while I would like the output to be MKV): VidePub.
The TS files so generated give the same error as the original in VLC and in AVIdemux, so I suppose the problem is in one part of the video I would like to keep.
At least one video player (KMPlayer) can play the original TS file, and the ones generated by VidePub.
Well, after many trials, I have found a solution to my problem.
FIRST I use TS-Doctor (unfortunately not a freeware program) to fix the problems in my TS flux
THEN I can use AVIDemux to edit the video without recoding
Without a sample, cannot help
