Post by: eugenj on September 23, 2016, 12:52:56 PM
Hello,

Everytime I want to save a edit a video file I get the message when trying to save it:

If I choose YES I get the next message:

If I choose NO then it saves to *.avi

How can I save in MKV? Thanks.

Using: Avidemux 2.6.13 and Windows 10 x64

In the drop down options on the left 'Output Format', choose  Mkv Muxer or MP4 Muxer. (assuming it is an H264/H265 file you wish to output and the two options 'Video Output' and 'Audio Output' are set correctly)

"Yes" and "No" work correctly in current Avidemux builds on Linux and the relevant locations in the code are correct too.
