1. Try to save (Copy/Copy/TS) to a read-only file.
1r. Asked to overwrite, then "Info > Muxer > Cannot open".
The message looks like the muxer itself could not be opened.
Would prefer a dynamic message like "Error > File Save > File xyz is read-only."
(Not sure whether that should even happen before/instead asking to overwrite.)
Should check what other applications do...
Avidemux was not intended to work on anything else but local hard disc.
Should not be used on USB/network/virtual/shared devices.

This issue happens on local disk (too)...
if you don't have the (user) properties to write there, windows has allowed and not allowed folders, as far as I can remember.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean.
User workarounds are to either remove the ReadOnly file attribute or use another file/name.
Anyway, this report is about ADM (GUI), not Windows disks/filesystems.
