Title: Possible bug during AAC FAAC configuration
Post by: falco2000 on April 11, 2013, 07:31:33 AM
Hello. I'm not 100% sure if the problem is in Avidemux 2.6 (it could be in 2.5) but if I select the AAC FAAC encoder and set a bitrate of 64 or 56 Kbps, the output is always at about 96 Kbps. Is there any bug related to the drop-down menu?

Thanks,
Falco

Faac raises the bitrate if it considers it too low

If so, why showing the 56, 64 and 80 Kbps values in the drop-down menu at all?

What does "it considers" mean? According to what?

I used Handbrake to create a AAC FAAC 64Kbps audio stream and the output was at that speed. From this I deduce that is not FAAC that could "consider", but rather Avidemux...?

Is there a way to "force" Avidemux AAC FAAC encoder to produce a 64 Kbps output?

Thank you.
