Title: Very minor bug joining two mp4 with different audio track counts
Post by: cjard on June 11, 2020, 06:26:47 PM
Hi guys, thanks for an awesome tool. Just wanted to say I had two mp4, both prepared by ffmpeg, but one of them had 2 audio tracks and the other had only one.

I was getting a crash when i did:

Open -> choose the file with 2 audio tracks and about 50 minutes long
Append -> choose the file with one track and about 10 minutes long
Save (copy/copy/mp4) -> it would crash at about 80% done

When I went to "track selection" and turned off "track 2" the save operation went OK.

Maybe the crash was the sudden change from 2 tracks to 1?

In principle, the number of audio tracks as well as the audio codec, the codec parameters and the channel layout of each corresponding audio track must match perfectly when using append.

I can't reproduce the crash you describe using a current Avidemux build with two videos where the first audio track matches perfectly while the first video has two audio tracks and the second only one. Have you tried the latest nightly build?
