Hello
Is there a simple way to upgrade x265 encoder under windows to latest 2.5 build?
If you find an installer for this fom a reliable source. Or you build x265 from source. I don't know if developers would recommend doing so.

In case you mean the x265 encoder used by the HEVC encoder plugin in Avidemux, the only possible and at the same time a very simple way is to install the very latest Avidemux nightly (Jul. 27 or later). Both the libx265 and Avidemux binary must be built with the same toolchain, so just replacing the library will likely result in crashes.
To be clear: you need the latest nightly to be compatible with v2.5 of x265 anyway.
So there is no lazy way to do it :-P. I've already tried latest nightly build for 2.7 and it still uses x265 2.1. Anyway thanks for help.

I wasn't aware of that. You could at best petition Mean to upgrade one of build nodes to v2.5 of x265.
I'll do it after next release, x265 is trickier than the othe packages

Looking forward to it. What exactly did You mean by next release? 2.7.x ? Thanks again.
2.7.0 is due to be released soon. Too little time for a reasonable QA if build nodes get modified by any means ahead of that.
