Title: Load files by UNC path
Post by: kurjens74 on January 06, 2024, 08:47:07 PM
Happy new year.
Recently switched from 2.7.2 to 2.8.1 (Running on Win10)
Appreciate the many updates and fixes.
I think a regression has snug in.
In 2.7.2 I can easily load files from my linux server share at //deb-omv/.... on 2.7.2.
(as the name indicates it Open Media Vault running on a debian 11 (bullseye))
On 2.8.1 I can browse the UNC path, but when i then try to open the file, I get a popup message "Could not open the file"
Same file can be opened in 2.7.2, and assigning a drive letter also fixes the issue, so the file in question can be opened in 2.8.1
(I have not attempted to store at the UNC path)

IOW, not a critical regression, but should possibly be fixed at some point in time.
Thank you for a great tool and all the work that has gone into it.

Please verify that the issue you are reporting for a very old state of development like the last 2.8.1 release persists in the latest available 2.8.2 nightly build.
