Title: Bad sound quality when playing mp4 file in Avidemux (
Post by: blip654 on October 13, 2012, 11:34:40 PM
Sorry for asking such a simple question. (I'm new to using Avidemux.)

When I open an mp4 file in Avidemux for editing, the sound quality of the clip is very poor (not clear). (When I play the same clip in QuickTime Player, the sound is fine.)

I checked "Preferences" - "Audio" - "Audio Device" and it's set to "Win32" (which I think is the correct value).

What am I missing?

I'm using version 2.5.1 on Windows XP

You should be using avidemux 2.5.6 and 2.6 found here: http://avidemux.razorbyte.com.au/ or http://avidemux.org/nightly/

Thank you for the tip.
I downloaded Avidemux 2.5.6 and 2.6 from SourceForge.
When I use 2.5.6, I have the same sound quality problem. However, when I use 2.6, the sound quality seems fine.
Thanks.
