Title: FEATURE REQUEST: coping with PCM audio in Zoom Q3HD movs (sample supplied)
Post by: Rainboyo on July 10, 2012, 08:25:37 AM
Hi developers

As discussed in http://www.avidemux.org/smf/index.php?topic=10769.0 (http://www.avidemux.org/smf/index.php?topic=10769.0), Avidemux doesn't seem to be able to cope with the PCM audio contained in .mov files created by Zoom Q3HD camcorders.  I recorded myself playing the piano to create an example video clip:

This link will only last 14 days from when I uploaded it yesterday, so let me know if you have any problems downloading it and I will re-upload it.

Developers if you're listening, it would be great to know...

-- if you are willing to look at this feature request
-- how long it might take before you can look at it

I promise I'm not being pushy, and that I don't feel like I have any right to demand updates!  But if it isn't feasible then I can concentrate on finding other workflows, so some indication of whether I should wait for this would be super.

Many thanks!

Mark

Just though I'd add my support to having PCM as an input to Avidemux. It would save the need for several steps in what would otherwise be a simple process.
