When doing a two-pass encoding to AVC, the first pass is "difficult" to cancel. The cancel button doesn't appear to do anything, and closing the dialog... Does something. The dialog does close, but CPU time is kept at high level - as if the encode continues. After that, doing anything crashes avidemux.
Now, it's not about the crash. That one is understandable. It's about being able to gracefully cancel pass 1.
Definitely I agree with you. A cancel button shoudn't be a big problem... maybe ::)
Well, the cancel button is there... The problem is that clicking it appears to do nothing.
