Title: flv container - ADM won't release handle
Post by: andrewk8 on April 09, 2017, 02:24:11 PM
Using ADM 2.6.19 x64 on Windows 10 x64.
This problem only happens with .flv containers.  Doesn't matter what the audio / video stream is inside the container.  Here's a sample container info from MediaInfo.  Happens regardless of the "Tagging application", too.  Every .flv file is affected.
Format                                   : Flash Video
Tagging application                      : flvtool++ (Facebook, Motion project, dweatherford)

When I edit a .flv file in ADM, and close the file.  I am unable to delete the original with Windows Explorer.  Message is:
File in Use
The action can't be completed because the file is open in Avidemux 2.6.19

If I exit ADM, then I can delete the .flv file.  File handle unlocking tools like Unlocker, LockHunter, etc. also work.  Neither are convenient.
Doesn't happen with other containers (mp4, mkv, avi, mpg).

Most likely this is Operating System related / Anti Virus caused. And not avidemux related.
See replies below.
