Title: [Bug] 2.6.6-2.6.7 libiconv-2 is missing
Post by: felicia on January 23, 2014, 01:45:05 PM
Avidemux 2.6.6-2.6.7 complain that libiconv-2 is missing and do not start. The installer does not install it at least in the system I am using (Windows 8.1).

I could  find a "libiconv-2" on the net which works, but no 64-bit version. Where can I get it? Besides that, the installer should be fixed.

Thanks!

Its definitely included in the nightly vesions.
If it really is missing from the installer then you could fetch it from the 64 bit nightlies.

i just checked with 2.6.7, it's there
Do you tune the installation ? remove some components ?

http://sourceforge.net/projects/avidemux/files/avidemux/2.6.7/avidemux_2.6.7_win64.exe
does not install it for me. I tried several times. The only tuning that I do is custom installation with filters removed. I think I also tried with everything checked.

But the ZIP with the nightly version, as suggested by AQUAR, contains it and everything works :-) Thanks!

On another note, you seem to be the main author. The German translation is incomplete. I am a native speaker and would offer to translate the rest, if wished.

Weird, i just tried on a brand new VM and with default libiconv is installed
It might not be installed if you remove some subtitling filters

Yes, translation updates are very welcome
I just added a menu to force the language
