A sample would help
(you might also try with 2.6.X might be already fixed)
here comes :
http://crashrecovery.org/audio/mp4_the_debate.mp4.flv (220M)
don't click on the link starts to play, right click and save content! Some funny stuff going on with this video.
Disable vdpau, opengl and use x11 display. The resolution is recognized as 1050x576. And there is a picture shift, revealing some weird data that was on left or right of image.
see small desktop recording of it:

In 2.5.6 don't crashing, but look how it showing:
(https://avidemux.org/smif/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fs019.radikal.ru%2Fi636%2F1306%2F07%2Ff52fd7f7a675t.jpg&hash=113b96e8251ef27fd37e40c4283bd843710657a8) (http://s019.radikal.ru/i636/1306/07/f52fd7f7a675.png)
I would suspect get_flash_videos does something weird or the source video itself causes issues.
cant download it (crashrecovery does not get an ip)
OK, I'm uploading to rapidshare, link will follow, 230 MB 7zipped to 140.7 MB
uploaded:
with the current release: avidemux 2.6.4 r8755 this issue is solved, the flv video now reads correctly.
PS: you might be careful with those audio level settings, nearly blew my speaker cones out. I know it is common with these Arabian TV stations: hard volume.
