Is the official upstream repo: https://github.com/mean00/avidemux2 ?
I can not find any po file in it.
Also the README (pinned topic in this forum here) do not talk about the file location.
I suggest to update the README with this information.
The translations are in a submodule:

Hello
Just for information for those who would like to start a translation.
The free Qtlinguist program is available in its last version 5.12.2 , totally independent of the complete Qt environment at one of these two addresses among others:
https://download.qt.io/archive/qt/5.12/5.12.2/
https://github.com/lelegard/qtlinguist-installers/releases
you just have to choose if you are on Linux, Windows or Mac and select the right download
After that you will be able to edit the *.qm file of your language, modify it directly and save it.
You can also save it as a *.ts file for edition with a text editor and recompile it with Qt in a *.qm file.
See how to use Qtlinguist here :
https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/linguist-translators.html
All the *qm files are here in your hard drive :
C:\Program Files\Avidemux 2.8 VC++ 64bits\qt5\i18n
(be careful the directory of Avidemux depend of the version your have installed)
Regards

I have read Po file but for sure this is Ts file used in Avidemux ;) ;) ;)
And the active file on the local machine is Qm file witch is a compiled file and you can only edit it with Qtlinguist (see post below)
Is it possible to change the title of the post
