I have two AVI files that I am combining into a single movie file. However once I do, the sound is off by about 3 seconds. I checked the original file, and the sound is perfect, it only seems to have a delay when I append the 2nd file and save the two of them together. This is the first time I have noticed this issue, and was just wondering if there was a way to correct it.
If it's mp3, you can extract your final audio with Avidemux and then use mp3directcut.
Both files are AVI files. I typically convert them to MP4 files once they are saved together as a single movie, as this is what my PS3 likes to view and I have no issues playing the movies then. I just can't seem to figure out why the sound is delayed after the two files are combined.
I also have an audio problem when replacing the audio in the video with an external audio track.
Not quite the same as this but could be the same underlying issue .
This only happens with the time based version of avidemux.
Try using the frame based version instead (ie avidemux 2.5.6).
