Title: Slider in 2.6.911 nightly - picture doesn't update
Post by: andrewk8 on January 27, 2016, 02:34:19 AM
Running 2.6.9 nightly 160121 on Windows x64.

A frequent use of ADM is to cut MP4 (AVC) video.  Dragging the slider to mark the A/B split points used to work well.  As you drag the slider, the graphics are updates to show you where you are in the move.  It's very easy to get very close (or on) the desired split point.

But in nightly 160121 (or before) it no longer shows a picture when you drag the slider.  You have to release the slider to get the picture of the current frame to show up.  Then when you drag again, the graphics stop updating until you release the slider again.

It's very hard to drag to the right frame when you can't see the video while you are dragging.

I see on Git there was a commit on Jan 19 called "Change the behaviour of slider".  Did that, or something related cause the picture to stop updating while dragging?  I rolled back to Windows x64 nightly 160113 and the picture updates correctly while dragging the slider.

Behaviour change of the slider is to make it compatible with UHD video's using the latest codecs.
DL the latest nightly and it should refresh the pictures again whilst dragging (refresh rate is configurable).
