Title: Get File Name with Python Scripting
Post by: anteevy on November 09, 2013, 12:56:23 PM
Hi,

Is there a way to get the file name and location of the currently loaded video file? I'd like to write a Python script that saves the file under a slightly manipulated name (depending on its A marker position).

Thanks!

Is it possible that a large amount of the documentation is deprecated? Everywhere I look I find information that does not seem to be right, menu items that are missing, files that do not exist (avidemux3_cli.exe), command line parameters that do not work (all except load and save), scripting languages that are nowhere to be found (ECMAScript?), etc.

It's really frustrating because I just want to do VERY basic stuff (under Windows). Load a file, set markers A and B and save the file again under a specific file name. I don't care if as batch script, python or javascript or whatever, as long as it works.

Make sure you look for info on 2.6; it is different from 2.5
