Why have all the options to add subtitles been removed in windows versions ? this was one of the main things I use Avidemux for to Hardcode subtitles into avi file. Are there Subtitle filters we can add manually ?
Congrats on getting 2.6 out after like forever. But there are some serious flaws that somehow got overlooked at least for Windows:
- Explorer window or desktop blocked when drop a file on Avidemux window (regression from fix in 2.5!)
- Error box when seek to end of file with the button to do so
- Avidemux crashes itself when File->Close or Exit if OpenGL used in video settings (Win7x64 + nvidia here)
- Still doesn't set the filename in the save dialog nor remember last save folder
- Would be nice to remember the Avidemux window position too
- The buttons really should have tooltips for usage clarity
- The bitrate as displayed by Explorer is incorrect in avi files saved by Avidemux. For example, an avi that is originally 1511kbps that is simply re-saved from Avidemux becomes shown as 63872kbps (but video players does detect correct rate).
I use windows x64 version. Problems:
- Bitrate calculator doesn't work
- In "Video Output" list there are 2 identical lines "Mpeg4 AVC (x264)". 1st works OK. 2nd also works, but no reaction when press "Configure" button.
