Post by: MJB on October 18, 2012, 05:21:35 AM
Converted MP4 to avi

File plays fine on computer.

Video only when try to play from USB through Panasonic DVD player. No sound.

Used MPEG4 ASP Xvid and MP3 lame.

Should your panasonic support this? Does vlc (computer media player) play the same file with sound? Try 44.1 Khz instead of 48 Khz or look at the Kbps 128/160/192?
Try avidemux 2.6

Yep. Plays Avis normally, and converted Avis from other software (not sure of name). Plays fine on computer for video and sound. Will try the other options that you have suggested.

If that still fails: model panasonic dvd player? Its manual should specify what media formats with what audio and video codecs are played? This can also change on the media used to play (cd, dvd, usb, ...?)

Other conversion software fixed the problem.
