Most (90%) of the mkv files I use as source to cut videos give this seek error while seeking with the arrow key or jog. Work around is to move the position indicator a bit further or back with mouse and than seek again to the next error. Average 10-20 errors on full hd mkv rip.
No problem with mp4 or avi container!
Using 2.6.6/64 on win 8.
Try everything 2.6.6 /32
downgrading to 2.6.5
I downgrade to 2.6.4 which was "working" previously except crashing on 40% of mkv containers. Still the same seek error. De install allavidemux versions and clean every trace in registry. Install again 2.6.4 still seek errors.
Please help
small sample video ?
How can I give you small sample video when this is about full hd rips of p2p, torrent and scene newest/and old too BluRay or hdtv rips of movies and tv shows?
I cut with avidemux 2.6.6 the portion with error. copy mode from the original mkv file. Shows seek error at 00:00:10.969 when I load in avidemux.

Maybe this helps! This info from downloded video that gives more than 20 next/previous keyframe errors.
This is the latest TV show from P2P nearly all (strange that's not all) .mkv files I download from verious sources, torrent, uploaded, rapidgator ... and various sites and boards have the same problem. Some though few 10% are OK.

nightly updated
Great thanx. It works! I tried on few .mkv full rips and works fine.
So: 2.6.6 (r8964) /64 solved this bug.
