Title: help with fade transition
Post by: croope on November 10, 2024, 05:30:34 PM
Hey, just a casual user here and I wondered how I can add fade transitions between cut points. I figured the black fade in and out but this one seems little complicated. Anyone?

1. On cut point set marker A
2. Move 1 sec ahead and set marker B
2. Filters -> Transitions -> Fade through -> click "Set center as A marker, duration is 2X|A-B|"
3. Choose tab "Color blend" -> tick Enable -> agree with color Black -> click "OK"

Thanks bunch for the reply but I already figured that black fade in/out. What I mean was that in the moment of transition the next frame appears and current one disappears, so no blackout. Idk what thats called but yeah that one :)

No, it's not "Fade in" or "Fade out". It is "Fade through", with a full blackout in the middle of the transition.

I've done it.

Fade(from) settings are like these:
Start: last or one of the last frames before cut.
End: one second ahead.

I got some smooth fade transitions after that, thank you.
